This simple program doesn't impress with its limited capabilities in saving and restoring desktop icon locations. MyDesktop appends a tab in Windows' Display Properties and offers only a few options for saving and restoring desktop icons or indicating no change to the current desktop. We found a single entry under Advanced options: to restore icons each time Windows started. MyDesktop didn't always remember icon locations for specific resolutions and often failed to recognize which resolution was currently in use. Testing also demonstrated the program didn't work with multiple users. The restore option worked, but that just wasn't enough to tip the scales in favor of this faulty program. Mmore powerful desktop managers are on the market, and this application just doesn't make the grade.
