MSD Organizer Freeware is a versatile, expandable, and feature-packed personal information manager. It organizes notes, contacts, appointments, important events, tasks, and much, much more with a free app that can grow with your needs. New in version 11.6 is the ability to save data to three separate folders at once, including cloud-based folders.

MSD Organizer opened with a floating time gadget and an extensive Help file with a Quick Tour and Introduction. The user interface is busy but efficient and attractive, with a day planner in the main window and a calendar sidebar. Customizable toolbars give a familiar browser-like look to the layout, with browser-like efficiency, too. While MSD Organizer does a lot, there's no mystery or confusion about its features: Buttons labeled "Calendar," "Contacts," "Alarms," and so on accessed a variety of clearly configured screens, most with extremely helpful sample data. We could color-code data, view and edit tasks, create sophisticated cards, and access a huge variety of extra tools, including spreadsheets, word processor, image viewer, clock, and calculator -- and even Moon information. Diary, Health, Budget, and other modules add specific capabilities that integrate with MSD Organizer's other features.

MSD Organizer Freeware has the look and feel of a long-running app that's been constantly refined, augmented, and updated, which it is. A Pro version adds various capabilities, but it's hardly an exaggeration to say we were staggered by the extent of the free version's tools, options, and support. This robust, reliable program is clearly among the top tools of its kind.

Fonts too small for older eyes
editmyupdatesFebruary 19, 2015
Pros
Appears to have a lot of nice features. Unfortunately I was unable to test them all out due to the font issues.
Cons
The default font size is Arial 9, inexplicably tiny and for many of us over 50, completely unusable. I found a spot in Options to change the font, but it only changed the font in a few places, but not in the main display, which remained stuck in Arial 9 pt. By contrast, the Options panel became unreadable because it did not resize any of its own fields, or its window size, to accommodate the larger font. In short, this has potential, but it's not ready for prime time.
Summary
Its free but not fully

Pros
Its like a PDA on your desktop.
Cons
It does not let you use all the feautes unless you buy the pro version
Summary
If I wanted to buy something I would not have looked in the free section. If your looking for a part of a program here it is. Don't waste your time
Just needs a few features to make it useful for me

Pros
The software seemed versitile and configuarble. Lots of fields to input different information
Cons
The primary drawback for me was that there was no apparent way to track individual conversations with contacts.
Summary
Looks good if what you're looking for is a very configurable address book that can launch applications.
Basically good, but not for multiple users

Pros
Interface is pretty good, covers all the important functions for a PIM. I was about ready to pay for the registered version.
Cons
Page says "Free" but is really "free to try"--free version is limited in number of records allowed--too limited for real use.
All files are sored in a directory based on the current user name. If two people who share the same computer but use different userIDs want to share a calendar or address book, there is no way to do so. For me this was a kiss of death.
Lots of nagging and display of features only availavble in fairly expensive 'pro" version.
Summary
Great, Easy, makes you organised and nothing like it. Has many features

Pros
I like all of the software because it has lots of features such as usernames and passwords for products, alarm, reminders and a load more
Cons
It crashed after a bit but is now fine, maybe it was my computer
