So this program is designed to raise or lower the bit rate of an MP3 file. We're not sure how useful it truly is. The reason for this is simple: once an MP3 has been encoded at a certain bit rate, converting it to a higher one won't actually make the sound quality any better due to the very nature of how audio compression works. True enough, when we turned a 128Kbps song in to a 320Kbps tune, we heard absolutely no difference. You can definitely hear the difference when you downgrade a file to a lower bit rate, but we doubt many users will want worse-sounding music. On the plus side, Mp3go128 is ultrasimple to use, making it immediately clear how to queue up batches of files and select the new bit rates. Unfortunately, the program supports no audio codecs other than MP3, so it can't even be used as a simple format converter. Curious users might try Mp3go128, but the program is unlikely to have a significant impact on the way your music sounds.

I have a large collection of MP3's, I cannot afford the space of having 320 & 192 bitrates so I convert files to 160 which offer excellent quality, less space.
Cons
Can't find anything I don't like, this program worked well for me.

Mp3go128 is a program that converts MP3 files from high bitrate to low bitrate. If you have an MP3 player which could only accept low bitrate music files(for example 128K bitrate), then this utility is a must have. If you want your mp3 player to save more music files, you could convert all your big high bitrate MP3 files into small low bitrate files without huge impact the sound quality if you choose the bitrate no less than 128K. With easily several clicks, change bitrate of mp3 files will never be so easy.
