MP3 TagEdit is a freeware application that makes it quick and easy for you to rename and re-tag your collection of MP3 files using a variety of common naming conventions. It reads the ID3 tags of the MP3 files and offers suggested filenames based on what song information it has gathered. If you have a massive collection of songs with many different file name variations, MP3 TagEdit will quickly rename the files to the format that you specify. For example: '01_Artist-Name_(Song Name)-tagged by joe.mp3' would be renamed to: 'Artist Name - Song Name.mp3'.

Pros
If you are looking for a program to rename your mp3s using the id3 tags then this program is great. You can also edit the id3 tags. This program seems very stable and does what it does well, but doesnt do a lot.
Cons
While you can edit the id3 tags you can only do 1 at a time. I was looking for a program to mass edit the id3's from the filename and this program didnt do that.

I couldn't review and edit ID3 tag v.1 and v.2. The only function is, actually, to rename mp3 with id3 tag information. I couldn't find no editing function of ID3 tag.

Ask it to change 4 tags in a directory of one artist, and it lower cases some artist names and removes MP3 from 3 out of 4 files ??

This is a simple, clean and easy to use interface for renaming your mp3s in batches. The glaring drawback (for me) was that it did not let me use the "track number" field from the id3 tag int he name. So you can name the file using various permutations of artist, title, album name, and year, but not track number. If you don't need the track number in your file names, then I reccommend this product to you.

doesn't scan directories recursively therefore hard to use. ALSO, ONLY ALLOWS YOU TO EDIT ONE TAG AT TIME.
