When working with video files, experienced users often find switching between the multiple available formats difficult. MovieConverter Studio for Mac solves this problem through its conversion abilities, but with a moderate price tag.

Available as a free trial version, which limits the video output to three minutes, the program requires a $20 purchase to unlock the full version. After downloading, installation begins, but MovieConverter Studio for Mac needs an additional download of supplemental packages for certain format conversions. The menu for this download states these could not be packaged in the original file due to legal reasons, which is troublesome for users to read. After this download, a set-up menu walks the user through selections for video format and preferred video editing software. The overall menu and program design are well thought out and easy to follow, even for beginning users. Technical support is in the form of available updates. Loading videos and starting the conversion process was easy to manage. While limited to three minutes in the trial version, the actual conversion went as quickly as expected and the output matched the original video. The program was easy to use and worked well overall, despite its inability to more completely work with videos.

For those users converting videos often and willing to pay for a well-designed and easy-to-use program, MovieConverter Studio for Mac may be a good option.

Fantastic I can now MUX/MULTIPLEX with ease.

I can MUX/MULTIPLEX .AC3 and .M2V files into one. Has loads of other features.
Cons
I think for some of the other features to work you have to register. This is only fair as this is a decent piece of kit!! For the muxing though it all works without having to register Oh and the graphic identity looks a bit childish, don't be put off though. I have spent two days looking for a decent program to multiplex with and this is it.
Summary
Im so pleased with this it has been a Godsend. It looks and feels a bit complicated at first but you really should hold out with it. I nearly uninstalled it so glad I didn't. It will stay! I never leave feedback/reviews but felt compelled to after my 2 day search for a free program that would Multiplex/Mux...pheeew

Summary
Downloaded this mainly to convert AVCHD video to .mov. This is the only program I could find for mac that does this for free without adding a watermark and/or simply doing a bad job, reducing quality or causing interlacing problems, etc. Using it for free at the moment; website says they're "on vacation" right now so I'll have to wait to register, but I plan to; although perhaps unnecessary, seems well worth it. There are a ton of scamware "video converter" clones out there...this is NOT one of them. Highly recommended...

I had problems with jerky conversions and out of sync audio but this little gem has sorted them all out. From NTSC to PAL. And burning 720p movies to view on my TV the quality is superb. I don't buy much software but this is a bargain.

...conversions.<br />This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />If you're like me, and don't have a lot of time to fiddle with different apps, you just want to burn the DVD and be done with it. This is the app to do it with! I use this more than any other video app, and the developer is absolutely the best I've met. From the time I bought it, he has continually responded and improved his product, making it the best value of any video app ever. I use it to clean up every single movie file, from mkv, mp4 and wmv to avi. It creates a separate folder with .jpg screencaps and a mpg of your movie, ready to burn. (For details on all the things this puppy will do, check out the features.) It demuxes and remuxes audio in either AC3 (5.1) or MP3, and where it really shines is in manipulating interlacing, allowing you to choose which field works best (with a preview screen so you can see it with your own eyes!), and adding black bars as needed (you choose). Great for my brand new 50-inch Panasonic plasma TV. In case you're wondering, I don't know the developer personally (he's in Europe) or work for the company. This is just my own, honest opinion. I just upgraded to version 1.2 today, and it's even better!
