Big potential, but still too complex.

Pros
Graphs of heart rate over terrain are printable, which is better than Garmins' Training Center, can't print. Since Oct. 2006 Garmin owns Motion Base. They seem to be hiring because they need help. I devine that the compay is riding on the backs of dedicated workers, but growing.
Cons
When I alternate uploads between my home and laptop, the system gets confused. My 305 forerunner says that it transfered okay, but training center says problems. Have to just use desktop. Data from wrist unit not deleted after upload. Garmin should dedicate more resources to market with huge growth potential.

Pros
The MotionBased service is great for all activities especially for anyone doing any type of training. Once you turn on the GPS, you can forget about it and get to your training. Afterwards, just connect the GPS to your computer and the MB agent does all the work and within a few seconds your data is ready to view. <p> <p>The MotionBased support staff is great as well. Very responsive to all questions and suggestions.
Cons
I haven't found any problems that haven't been resolved by the great people at MotionBased yet.

Summary
If you have a GPS, you must try MotionBased. The MotionBased Agent grabs the data off your GPS device and stores it on the Internet in a usable format. You get detailed stats and the coolest maps I've seen on the web. Plus, you can simulate your activities with a moving dot on the route.

Translate GPS data from the Garmin devices into performance analysis and view it on Internet.

MotionBased Agent translates GPS and heart rate data from the latest Garmin devices (Forerunner, Edge, eTrex, and GPSMAP) into performance analysis and mapping that is viewed on the Internet. After the MotionBased Agent extracts data from a GPS device, it automatically sends that information, pending an Internet connection, to the MotionBased Web site where users store, track, analyze, map, and share their activities online. MotionBased interprets GPS and data with complex algorithms to calculate time, distance, speed, and elevation metrics. To make sense of this data, MotionBased displays this information through charts, illustrations, reports, and maps.

Users can choose from a variety of maps to visualize their activity. Moreover, users can replay the experience using standard media controls as they watch themselves move along the mapped route. Version 2.3.0.0 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
