Used Mobius for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Easy to use, this encryption tool is perfect for novice users. With its color scheme and VCR-style controls, the Mobius interface looks like its from circa 1987. Hopefully, that won't scare away any users, as this is a robust tool. In another nod to novice users, the Help manual is in the style of a presentation. Setting a phrase, file, or random key to serve as a file password is quick and painless.
Operating Mobius is a drag-and-drop affair. The app adds a folder to your desktop. Dragging files to the folder sets them to be encrypted. It's as easy to use the program's interface. You can also drag files there for encryption, although it takes a simple extra step to start encryption. All encrypted files get a new icon.
Users who chose a file as the encryption key can easily open encrypted files with a double click. We found encryption and decryption speed very acceptable. The 30-day trail is more than generous to learn the ins and outs of Mobius. Novices in need of file encryption will want to give this app a test drive.
