Used Military Recipes Database for Windows?
Editors’ Review
This database program houses a huge collection of recipes developed by the U.S. military, but it doesn't quite live up to the publisher's claims.
Military Recipes Database comes with a simple, easy-to-use interface. Recipes are sorted into categories that are presented in an organized tree listing. The program offers a few buttons to add, edit or print recipes. A search tool is included as well as the option to resize a recipe, which comes in handy for fitting information onto recipe cards. We appreciated that guidelines, instructions, charts, and conversion tables were included in the program.
During testing, adding a category was easy, but it then failed to appear on the tree list. We also found that despite the publisher's claims, users can add and edit their own recipes but they won't be able to save them. Also, some users might shy away from the 11MB size and seven-day trial period. Despite these drawbacks, cooking enthusiasts might find the quantity of recipes and cooking guidelines offered in Military Recipes Database hard to resist.
