  installed and Avery Wizard quit working correctly. We rely on Avery Wizard and MS shows them as recomended software, one would think MS would have checked this out. Typical half baked service pack from MS. They make billions and hired programmers in foreign countries but can't give customer service at all. Since SP3 is non removeable - this sucks.

  Even though I read the negative reviews, I downloaded it anyway because the service pack is necessary to install the lovsan patch. I wasted my entire night yesterday with no results. The darn thing takes over an hour to download and then takes forever to install, I got some error was booted offline before it was completed. It is unbelievable that Microsoft would subject the public to this. Why don't they say it like it is, this is really complete reformatting the OS. And it doesn't even work properly. After I had problems with wierd errors and couldn't even access Hotmail.com, I would get a blank window and it would say "done". I had to insert my CD rom and "upgrade" my Windows 2000 because certain file were "replaced by unrecognized files". Additionally, I had originally tried to go with just service 2 since that was the minimum the worm patch required and after that lenghtly process, the message said that I had to install service pack 1 first. Service pack 1 is no where to be found, so I then tried to install service pack 3. I have never had any problems with the service packs so I went ahead and did it anyway. What a complete waste of time. You are better off taking a risk to get the lovsan worm and then using the free utility on this Cnet site to get rid of it. Beyond irritating is the least that I can say!

  I downloaded and installed this service pack and it killed my ability to send or receive emails. I went into the accounts and all the settings were identical to what I had before so I don't know what changed. I spent some time trying to find where the new customizable email controls were, but after awhile, I just blew it off. Fortunately, I have Roxio GoBack on my machine so I simply reverted my drive back to the state it was in BEFORE I installed the Service Pack.
