I hate patches. Patches are simply bandaids to cure poorly made programs. If you want to make it big in software, then follow the slogan ID software(the developers of doom and quake)used to go by-"we'll ship it when it's ready". They broke this promise with quake 2- they rushed it for x-mas, and had to patch it 7 TIMES!!! just to get the stuff they promised was there, into the game! now, that's just id. but MICROSOFT!!?!?!?!? COME ON GATES, USE YOUR HEAD! MAKE SURE YOUR STUFF WORKS!!! TO HELL WITH PATCHES!!!

The Excel 2000 and PowerPoint 2000 SR-1 HTML Script Vulnerability Update eliminates a security vulnerability in the Excel 2000 and PowerPoint 2000 object models that could expose them to unsafe scripts when a user views a Web page or HTML e-mail message. Once the patch is installed, Excel 2000 or PowerPoint 2000 can only be scripted if the Initialize and script ActiveX controls marked unsafe option in Microsoft Internet Explorer is set to Enable.
