Pros
Good product. It's easy to open and read a mdi file or TIFF files, it's also a nice picture viewer. The conversion is to pdf or other formats, quickly and with good quality.

Firstly as stated my someone else it is only a 7 day trial. Secondly and most important, you get stuck with Mixi.DJ toolbar and search engine. This is a nightmare and difficult to remove. It also has a very bad rap regarding viruses, etc. Thirdly the files created are immense and of very poor quality.

I can not figure out why CNET even allows this download. They should remove it.
Converted MDI to PDF Batch Perfectly

I tried Microsoft's free MDI to TIF converter. It only worked on some files. A real pain. Then I tried MDI Converter -- What a Blessing! Converted all of my files, including one with 70 pages, to PDF perfectly.
Cons
PDF worked great. I don't know about other destination file formats.
Summary
I converted all my files (168 of them) using the trial version. I went on line and paid the $29 for a license anyway. It was worth the money.

Does a simple job reasonably well, though see Cons below.
Cons
1. The TIFF format it exports files as is a variant deprecated by most graphics programs, so worthless. (The PDFs it exports as are fine though; other export formats not tested.) 2. Works 5 or 6 times then you have to pay.
Summary
Useful as trialware, but I wouldn't want to shell out $30 for such a simple program that produces useless TIFs.

Works ONLY as a viewer, ONE FILE AT A TIME.

DOES NOT DO CONVERSION. Application returns error msgs that CANNOT be resolved. Toolbar shown on instruction sheet IS DIFFERENT FROM DOWNLOAD! There is no way to follow the ONE PAGE instructions. NO Help function - useless!
Summary
This product is not ready for prime time, assuming it was ever intended to be functional. Help function is nonexistent. Converter doesn't convert. One page instruction sheet shows an application that does not correspond to the application that is sent to purchasers. WHAT IS THERE TO LIKE ABOUT THIS APPLICATION? IT IS A RIP OFF.

Summary
I have recovered (opened) over 300 files created as Midi files. Why didn't microsoft have something to open these typ files. I created them with Windows.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jan 28, 2011<p/>helped me to recover over 100 MDI files, love it

What can I say? It is easy to use and does what it says. Start the program, Open an mdi file, and export it to jpg, pdf, tif, png, or bmp. If you just need to read the file you can just do that without converting.
