Editors’ Review
"Oh, goody," we thought when we saw MB Mind Reading Numerology among our software review assignments. "Another bad program from Mystic Board." We always try to approach programs with an open mind, but we've had enough experience with Mystic Board products to know exactly what was in store for us. Mystic Board never fails to disappoint.
The gimmick for this particular piece of software is mind reading based on a series of nine numbers. The interface, which is cluttered with ads, instructs users to close their eyes, take a deep breath, and enter the first nine digits that spring to mind in the box provided. The program then provides another number--we're not sure how it's derived from the original nine digits--and tells users what's on their mind. "Forty-one," the program replied, "Of yourself or your figure, position, credit, food." No, actually, we weren't thinking of any of those. We tried again, and decided to concentrate strongly on the idea of our dog as we entered the numbers. "Forty-two. Of a friend, woman of quality, patroness, convention, gathering." OK, man's best friend, we'll give you that one. But suffice it to say, even if you believe strongly in the power of numerology, MB Mind Reading Numerology is not legitimate. It's just another attempt by Mystic Board to make money, and we can't imagine anyone who wouldn't be disappointed by this program's so-called mind-reading abilities.
MB Mind Reading Numerology is free. It installs a desktop icon without asking and leaves folders behind upon removal. We do not recommend this program.
