The aim is to flatten every grey square on the grid as fast as possible with your mallet - the numbers tell you how many times each square needs to be hit. This game needs a quick eye and a fair amount of thought to win, but when you've got the knack, you can upload your best times and play in online tournaments against other players around the world. Version 2.3 features weekly online tournaments.

The easy version for the smaller shapes can be done in a mindless time wasting style (ala the smallest mindsweeper board.) <p> <p>The medium and hard versions will certainly send your mind spinning! <p> <p>If you like mindsweeper and are looking for a twist on the standard game, give Mallet Mania a try!

This game provides an extremely interesting and challenging variation on the theme of the classic Windows game of Minesweeper. While simple in context, the game provides hidden challenges, and has me completely hooked!

Despite looking like Minesweeper at first glance, Mallet Mania is very much an original idea, with the mallet variation offering a wonderful range of puzzles. <p>The online best times ever list is easy to use and a great addition, and the game is very fun to play.
