Bring the classic tile-matching game to your Mac OS X.
Mah Jong Solitaire is a fiendishly addictive game for Mac OS X. Find pairs of matching tiles on many different layouts. It includes different backgrounds, tilesets and help options. The game features three different modes, tile pick up, simple match and classic. It also features many high quality tilesets shot around New Zealand and 14 different tilesets.

This manifestation goes back to around 1983 when the first /mahjonng/ game game out. The difference was that the original author in his readme file mentioned that he never played the real mahjongg as a child but played a kind of matching game upon which his program was based.
since then dozens of ignorant developers have replicated his game --- not that any of them have not produced a game that many people enjoy --- i just wished they did not advertise their ignorance
