MagnetMaker for Windows

Magnet Maker creates personalized refrigerator magnets, but it isn't very user-friendly. The program's utilitarian interface lets you pick from only five templates, but you will be able to input text and customize the font, size, placement, and color, as well as add a background image. Unfortunately, if you want to load other template designs, you'll have to use this program's FMD file format. This application uses primitive buttons to move your text and images around rather than a more convenient drag-and-drop method. We weren't even able to resize images for proportional placement.

You can save and preview your designs, but alas, printing your fridge magnet designs isn't available in the trial. Magnet Maker's pickings are pretty slim, but it's a relatively easy-to-use tool for those with basic needs.

Version 2006 1.0.15 has over 100 free templates.
