Listen to MPEG Layer 3 encoded audio with this speedy little player.
MacPlay is a no-frills MP3 player capable of playing files from a local drive or from a server on the Internet. Features include proxy support and the ability to configure output according to your computer's hardware capabilities. MacPlay is one of the fastest MP3 players available and is unlikely to skip even on slower machines.
MacPlay is small enough to fit on a floppy disk, by which it can be moved to the Macintosh IIcx in my basement and allow me to archive and even play my mp3s there. It's the only stable player I have been able to find that can play mp3s on a system and machine that dated. Kudos to the developers.
Kinda suck (i think)

This is the only player that plays MP3 files cleanly on my Powermac 7200/75. All the other players I tried either skipped or sounded fuzzy. It also plays variable bit rate MP3 files! A very efficent player that doesn't need a whole lot of CPU speed.
