  M2 converter sometimes can't convert the newer dvd's coming out because of better copyright protection. I have not had any problems so far with (V4.0), but (V3.0) after time I did. They don't allow current users to download update for free or for small fee. I had to re-buy product at full price to get update.

  Summary

  A great product to have, and I still would recomend.

• The ONLY converter to rip a dvd in one title

  Pros

  This is the only converter I have found that rips a dvd in one continuous title and converts it to mpeg-4 in one step. I can rip a DVD easily enough and convert it to mp4, but in 4-6 seperate titles depending on how many the dvd is split into. (Dvds are divided into .99GB segments, so a longer DVD has more titles.) This is THE WAY TO GO if you want to easily rip dvds to your ipod.

  Cons

  The only possible complaint is it takes 3-4 hours to rip a dvd, but SO WHAT?? This is the best DVD to iPod converter there is. And yes, it rips protected dvds.

  Pros

  I did notice some of these issues in V1.1, but they all went away when I upgraded to V2. Not only have I not had any problems in V2, the conversions are all much faster.

  M2Convert iPod retail version will consistently cause iTunes to crash on my system. <p> <p>The m2Convert trial version's only apparent problem was an inability to automatically add the converted video to the iTunes library, despite a check box offering to do so. The m2convert retail version won't automatically add it either, and when I tried to add it manually (which worked fine with the trial version) iTunes consistently crashed. <p> <p>M2Convert customer support was completely stumped on this. They supported my suggestion to try it on another computer, but that computer couldn't install completely due to the installation key already being used. Despite customer support's expectations, uninstalling m2convert on the first computer doesn't help. <p> <p>Refund? m2Convert has a no refund policy. M2Convert won't tell you that on their web site, but they will vigorously support their no refund policy. If only M2Convert put such dedication into their product development and testing!

  It inverts the video when converting. Flipped videos dont look too great on an ipod - headache material! <p>When I emailed M2 about it, sugesting a flip video function to solve the problem, they were very rude and told me I had a 15 day trial period to evaluate their software, to see if it worked. They also have an incredible "No Refunds" policy. <p>This is the first time I have ever had such bad service from a US company. SHOCKING!
