Editors’ Review

Download.com staffNovember 9, 2008

Although nothing beats Photoshop, you don't have to empty your wallet to get professional results from an image editor. The features of this lightweight yet powerful image-editing tool rival those found in other high-end products. LView Pro packs a punch with seven components: an image editor, an image-file browser, a slide-show viewer, a contact-sheet builder, a Web-gallery builder, a batch-print spooler, and an image catalog. The image editor alone is worth the price of registration; it offers layer and transparency control, painting tools, collapsible toolbars, support for pressure-sensitive tablets, and the ability to create and edit GIF animations. The organization of the interface puts everything right where you need it, including easy-to-understand help files. Overall, the layer support, simplicity, and price make this image-editor a definite keeper that will appeal to graphic designers and amateurs alike.

With the old version 1.D it was very easy using the various editing features to tweak a photo just the way you wanted it. The newer versions seem more aimed at image creation, not photo editing.
Small yet powerfull

I've been using this program FOR YEARS and wish I had the older version because it was even easier to use & had more features. I like the fact that you can continue to use it beyond the trial period without any issues
