  Decent templates and a great idea.

  I've tried this software on and off since 2009 (tried 3 different "upgrades") and each time it had the same bugs and frequent crashes, and when it did work, the listings looked completely different on eBay with text running off the page and other problems. In the end I spent far more time using this software to list to eBay than using the eBay system itself. Support is nearly impossible to get a reply from and documentation never gets updated.

  Summary

  A great idea and I wished it would actually worked, but it has never worked or been supported properly. Since it first came out this product has failed to deliver on promises and the support is dismally non-existent. Upgrades are never an improvement. I am convinced the few good reviews are not actual users but most likely are from the developers trying to shore up their review ratings.

  Pros

  Cute templates, easy to create listings, you can save listings until you are ready to upload to ebay, can customize templates and save for continuous use, can use HTML code to list on other sites, and more.

  Cons

  live tech support not always online. However, the 2 times I needed to contact tech support, answered back within 48 hours so that's still better than most companies.

  Summary

  I was surprised to read other reviews and CNETs review, I have been using Listing Factory for over 4 years now. Use to have a few bugs here and there but 2012 version is awesome. I currently use 2012 paid version. The program interface is very well developed, looks like the new Microsoft office suits (the buttons and menu options). I recommend this program to SERIOUS eBay seller's, I have a Bachelor's of Science in Information Systems from California State University, Northridge so I would say my opinion is an educated opinion :) hehe

  No support, Program crashes jumps around while typing. Then just try to upload.. it fails to connect to the server and there is no one there to help. A big water of money.

  don't even bother. The constant failure to connect to the server renders the program useless.

  There are no help screens, it is almost impossible to edit-nothing to guide you. It will take you about an hour and a half pewr listing as compared to just a fe minutes directly on eBayw

  Don't waste your time or money. I did and wish there was some way to get my $$$ back.

  I am very surprised by the CNET editors comments, because I usually agree with them. I have looked at numerous Ebay template tools, and the templates are typically revolting. Not the case here. Yes, it took time to learn, but it was well worth it.

  Also, I did have a display issue with the pop up window that is used to submit the listing on eBay. I got on Listing Factory's site, connected quickly with a chat tech support person, who was able to resolve the problem: that the Windows 7 font size dpi is set too large (125) out of the box. Now everything works perfectly. Editors - I encourage you to look again. I have looked at countless listing tools, and this one is by far the best. While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, aesthetics --especially for an art dealer like me -- is critical to presenting the right appearance to potential customers.

  Would have given Listing Factory 09 a big fat zero, the but the CNET rating system won't let me! Error messages galore. Could barely get the software working. Just try contacting support, you be lucky to get any reply. In summary, this product is as useful as a chocolate teapot. Don't try or buy.

  Pros

  Once it is set up is easy to use and even easier to modify templates to create your own individually unique templates.

  Cons

  Can be quite slow to upload at busy times and sometimes times out and so that you can't save the current listing you were uploadfing.

  Summary

  As i don't sell on e*** I required an easy to use listing creator that allowed me to use the html code to list else where. It delivered 100% in this regard.

  No support at all. 30 day money back untrue ebay upload doesn't work program behave eratic, comes up with errors when it feels like doing so no telephone number and no email replies
