• Don't even thing about a job without Job Tabs!

  Summary

  I recently took early retirement knowing I would need a part-time job to supplement income until an annuity kicks in about 24 months from now. Having done job/career searches in previous years I know how much of a pain it can be keeping track of applications and using the search engines, plus all the resumes and cover letters. So I went searching for software to help and found Job Tabs. There is a free version but I wanted all the bells and whistles so I opted for the paid version. That first weekend I spent a lot of time getting the resumes, cover letters, and search engines all set up only to discover Job Tabs wasn't functioning as described when I attempted to apply for a job. After doing everything I knew to do to resolve the issue I finally called support. In the phone call, support was able to determine it was code on their end that was failing and no errors on my part. They did show me how to work around the problem but it wasn't as convenient as described by the publisher's descriptions and the editor's descriptions in Download.com. Now, granted support didn't resolve the problem as fast as I wanted but I can be impatient. I understand it can take some time to find a solution to a code issue. They did promise to keep in touch and I got phone calls almost every day until they had a new download available on the website that fixed the errors. Job Tabs is working beautifully and meets, actually exceeds my expectations. I recommend Job Tabs to anyone in a job search.

  Pros

  This will really help you organize the process, your resumes, etc. during a potential confusing time in life! A big help! It is also a great tool for tracking your employment history and building that VERY IMPORTANT network for the future...and for your friends. The staff is exceptional. Their free tutorials are very helpful.

  Cons

  Initially intimidating...because there is so much that it can do...just follow the tutorials and you'll be on your way in no time!

  Summary

  Great investment for anyone that is seeking a job, dabbling in a change, or just wishing to track their own work history, resumes, etc.--all while building and tracking your increasingly valuable network of friends, associates, and references for future needs.

  Pros

  The cocaine of Job Search Software. (Sorry, been watching Breaking Bad on Roku and it has twisted my vocabulary in the short term.) ; -) Really, I had been using the JobTabs free resume builder, but wanted to try this thing to see what all the fuss was about. Glad I did as this thing is a complete solution from end to end!

  Looking for a job is a con in and of itself.

  Summary

  Great package all the way around. It there has been a silver bullet to my job search, this software has been it. It gives me a huge sense of confidence just being this well organized. It has upped my game considerably and if it can up your game it is worth a try. Good luck!

• Got a new job! Couldn't be more pleased,

  Pros

  I hadn't updated my resume for 7+ years, and had been dreading to do so. I was really needing a job change though. A week of "spare time" updating and reformatting per the advice in JobTabs and I had a small variety of very professional looking new resumes. I sent copies to two potential employers. Both were very impressed. I have just accepted a position at one of them. I couldn't be more pleased.

  None that I have found.

  Summary

  Excellent customer support! I've paid 200X as much for high end engineering software and never received a follow-up contact, just to see if I'm doing OK, or even after repeated requests for assistance. JobTabs followed up on their own volition to see how I was doing.

  Spent about three hours repeatedly downloading and trying to run this application. Every time it reached the "Loading resources" screen it crashed...real shame.

  As an independent Business Consultant and ERP Systems Developer, I am required to be informed of current sourcing requirements where my skillsets and experience match within the marketplace. The skilled individuals who have developed "JobTabs Job Search & Resume Builder" have provided what can only be characterized in the following way: 1.) An Elegant solution to a very critical task for any Job Seeker. 2.) Comprehensive in features and functionality. 3.) Excellent in all aspects of Task Management and Workflow alerting stratgies related to job search management. 4.) Effective and easy to use Resume Management. 5.) Crossing all of your "T's" and dotting all of your "I's" followup scheduleing and routing. I am certain that are several useful and effcient features and functions that I have yet to discover within this product offering and I urge anyone and everyone to invest in this product. You will not be disapointed in your business decision to do so.

  I really don't know. How do you run this program without having to send an error report every other click of the mouse?

  Crashed on update, crashed on browsing, crashed on uninstall. Yeah, let's all buy the full version. Yippee! (sarcasm)

  Summary

  I can't even really give this much of a rating. I am running Windows 8 and this software keeps on crashing. Yeah, like I'm really going to shell out $50 for a software program that can't even send an error report when it crashes... I am soooo disappointed.

• So simple to manage a job search!

  Pros

  Manage complex or simple job search effortlessly. Every resume/cover letter can be tailored to each job easily. Handles versioning simply. When I spoke with a hiring manager, I had the version of the resume he had in front of him, with no guessing. If I spoke with someone at a convention, I added them to my contact list, and could decide wether to follow up with them or not, with a complete history. Extremely easy to use, but very powerful. A snap to send out dozens of customized resumes, with custom cover letters. NO MESSY Word files and email clients with attachements all over the place. It really made life simpler for me.

  No Cons. It works. Very well.

  Summary

  I used this for my job search. It actually made it *fun*. Not only that, but I could focus on finding qualified leads, and let it take care of all the technical details of managing the process, from start to finish. Minimal time was spent on sending the resume, from the moment of finding a qualified lead, to the sending of the customized resume/cover letter - in the format the employer wanted, by the method the employer wanted, with filenames the employer wanted.

• Essential Software That Works - Who Would Have Thought

  Take it from a professional formally mired and overwhelmed in the blood sport known as online job hunting - JobTabs offers the ultimate cure for the common obstacles besetting a job candidate , that is lack of focus, inability to effectively follow up a job application and general frustration. In my opinion the program's "Dashboard" and "Job Search Agents" functions alone justify the cost of JobTabs but when you add in the fact that this software solution forces you to turn a "hit or miss" amateur job quest into a professional organized campaign for employment, the price truly becomes secondary . Combine this program with the resources of LinkedIn and I believe your job search effectiveness will increase at least tenfold.

• The Best Job Search Investment I Made!

  JobTabs has been a huge help in my job search. The customer service has also been excellent and it is that service which prompted me to write this review. These guys solved a nasty problem with my installation. It turned out that my anti-virus program was deleting one of the files used to run JobTabs. After temporarily disabling the anti-virus program, JobTabs installed perfectly and I was able to start my anti-virus program again. I am very appreciative, because the JobTabs guys did all the work themselves over the internet which was really great. They also pointed out a lot of superfluous programs I had running. Removing them did a lot to free up my computer memory. I also wanted to mention that they are very responsive. I made some recommendations on some things I would like to see added and they had them coded and delivered in a matter of weeks. That is unusual for ANY company!

  Cons

  In my experience - none.

  Summary

  I was hired for a consulting position and I start on Monday! JobTabs really helped keep me organized during my search. I will continue using it on a limited basis to keep up with contacts and future job opportunities and will recommend it to others who find themselves looking for a job.
