LinkPoint for Android

LinkPoint is a location-sharing application designed for Android that allows users to share real-time GPS coordinates among consenting contacts. This tool focuses on providing a secure and straightforward way for families and small groups to coordinate meetups and check-ins. Key features include a 30-day route playback, instant pause or revoke of location sharing, and a lightweight interface that emphasizes user privacy through mutual consent and in-transit encryption. The app is available through the Google Play Store and is particularly useful for travelers and those in crowded spaces where coordination is essential.

The application operates on a bilateral model, requiring both parties to accept a connection before sharing location data, thus ensuring that users cannot be tracked without their explicit consent. LinkPoint's Phone Number Location feature facilitates quick connections with authorized contacts. The app's encryption secures location data during transfers, allowing users to review their recent movements while maintaining privacy. Designed for Android devices, LinkPoint requires standard mobile permissions and is aimed at users seeking temporary visibility rather than continuous tracking.
