All things considered, this lighthouse-themed screensaver makes a pleasant addition to most PCs. The program displays photos from a number of famous and not-so-famous lighthouses around the world, including North Carolina's well-known Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and Canada's more obscure Brier Island Lighthouse. All shots are accompanied by appropriate maritime sound effects, such as crying seagulls and breaking waves. Lighthouse Seascapes Screen Saver's image quality ranges from above average to strictly mediocre, although the feature set fares a bit better. For instance, you can determine the interval between images, apply a number of transition effects, and specify the style and location of captions. The demo only offers 10 shots, but that's a better proposition than bundled adware, a method employed by many other screensavers. Beach bunnies and maritime buffs may find this program makes an especially good fit.
