'Lawn Bowls for iPad' is intended to be a cost efficient and unique business card for the sport of Bias Lawn Bowling as the sport reinvents itself to the next generation of Bowlers. The iPad is great for those learning about our marvellous sport in a general way. The original PC version has now been accepted by customers in over a dozen countries around the world. The App includes videos, cartoons, photos, voice-overs, exercises and plenty of written information to browse through at leisure. 'Lawn Bowls' is for novices and those who want to improve their game as well as those who may just want to learn a bit about this great sport.The 'Lawn Bowls' App is broken up into two sections. The first section - 'Skills' - looks at the necessary steps to actually play the game.These steps are the ABC of Bowls. The steps to good bowling are each discussed in turn, The Address, Breathing Control, Concentration, Delivery, Evaluate, Figures, and the Game itself. Many steps are illustrated and explained through pictures and video clips.The second section - 'Club Life' - introduces you to club life and the reasons for participating in the game of lawn bowls, like improved health and the well being that comes from being outdoors and taking part in a sporting activity. Time is spent explaining what a bias ball is and showing you how you use it to achieve your aim of placing your bowl, as near to the Kitty as possible.
