  Free version leaves what they call a "watermark", but it is more like a big bold red blind spot across every page. Annoying and not acceptable. A little slow to process the conversion and I was unable to use my computer to do anything else while it "worked" as my cursor kept bouncing all over the place when I tried to navigate to other programs.

  Summary

  Not terrible if you don't mind waiting for the process and the big red "watermark" on every page.

  My anti-virus "cleaned" it. Thought there was a Trojan. And when it did get installed, it barely worked. It took FOREVER and the resulting .pdf was crap.

  Software is full of bugs and the seller, aknowledging this, refuses to issue full refund.

  This review is on the latest versions 4.2 & 4.3 It always misses many pages of the Kindle book and returns blank PDF pages. The text is not skipped but lost. Software takes full control of the PC while converting. Control over the mouse keeps going back to the Kindle window no matter what you do. Some of the buttons such as "Search" etc. simply do not work. Company refuses to issue full refund even right after the purchase. DO NOT BUY!

  It definitely converts to PDF. Easy to use, you can control the page size, file name, and where it's saved to.

  Cons

  Skips pages. Inserts blank pages with watermark only. Ties up your PC during conversion process. Tried twice to convert a book. Each time ended up with unnecessary blank pages & some pages missing. Both times, the page count was inconsistent.

  Summary

  I wouldn't spend money on this. It may work for short articles, but for a book, it was useless. What good is it if pages are missing? Or if you try to print and you get a lot of single blank pages inserted throughout?

• Creative approach to convert Kindle books

  Summary

  This app takes the image of each page of a Kindle book. Then it saves images into a PDF file. Simple. If you have to convert the PDF file to a text or MS Word file, then you can use an OCR software (I use ABBYY, which is the best OCR software out there).

  Very easy to use and it does what it says it will do and there's no learning curve.

  The watermark is a bright red large print URL...but I can live with that to try it and I'll buy the retail version.

  Summary

  If you have a Kindle library and you would like to search the text of a textbook or keep a copy in your files for future use, this is perfect.
