• Terrible and not intuitive.

  It does read OST files without connecting to Exchange.

  Cons

  Dates are handled horrendously. Filters and sorts include the day of the week, which sorts dates completely out of order (alphabetical by the name of the day) and you have to know the day of the week to find a specific date. Calendar events are the worse, these show the date that the appointment was created not the date that the appointment occurs on. you can't find an appointment by that date either. Similarly when you select the appointment in the list it does show that calendar but the calendar doesn't have month or year anywhere to be found and it doesn't highlight the appointment on the calendar so good luck if you're dealing with a large file with a lot of appointments. Also this doesn't work going the other way. If you select the appointment on the calendar view it doesn't highlight the list view item to give you more details.

  Summary

  The idea is there and the app should be capable of doing what needs to be done with just an OST file, but the interface and features in the actual UI are extremely bad, limiting, and get in the way of finding the things you want to find.

  Cons

  It is not available for mac user.

  I cant view OST files. But I used OST Viewer and it didn't help me. Tool could view only 1 of 5 .ost files.

• Can't search

  Pros

  It will open an OST file and show you the contents as an expanding tree.

  Cons

  Can't search! Most OST files I have to open here at work are 2 to 4 GB. We have employees who have long since left and their emails are only in OST format, so to search for 1 email in an expanding tree of that size is impossible.

  Summary

  If all you need to do is open the file, great. If you're trying to search through your archives, it won't. I don't even understand why anyone would want a program that will only display emails and not let you search.
