The marketers are scammers

They cold call attempting to use the CLSID ploy, see http://www.welivesecurity.com/2011/07/19/support-desk-scams-clsid-not-unique/ And convince you they are legit by showing you can't delete Events in the Event Viewer with a right click (true, you clear them in the Action options but they don't mention this fact). I hung up after the caller directed me to www.teamviewer.com for the last part of their ploy.
Summary
Avoid this sub-continent aggressive attempt to get control of your system by installing remote control software and wasting money on their "product." If you have the time to play along with them up to the teamviewer download, you'll waste some of their time and get them really frustrated - that has its own reward.
