Awful. Installs spurious software.

Doesn't work, tries to install software your grandmother would install.
Summary
Wound up editing it with other software, total garbage. Also tries to get you to install other software. Doesn't ask you on install, launches, then opens a webpage selling the other garbage. My first thought was, "Well... that seems legitimate...".

Awful program for computer files

It converts and joins, but the result was terrible.
Cons
Almost 100 MB ended up to be less than 4MB after converted and joined meaning the smallest file ever was the result and when played on a computer media player it was so fuzzy as to be impossible to see. Maybe this is good for a little phone, but definitely not a computer.

Don't get this is you want to use on a computer.

Slider is troublesome. Cut video quality is inferior to its source.
Summary
I tried to cut some video clips from some VCDs and DVDs. To cut from a certain point the slider has to be moved to the point from where the cutting is supposed to start. But, it is very difficult to get to the precise point as the slider's travel length is too short, and the video is advanced rocket fast at the slightest push-pull of the slider. When the mouse's left button is kept pressed to move the slider and you come to the point to start the cut, the video, or the starting point, changes as soon as the button is released. Then you have to repeat the process of relocating that point. This makes it very difficult to get to the right point, and it causes a lot of time waste. However, once you find the right point, the video cutting is done nicely. The starting point, however, is preceded by a few seconds' unwanted video. I cut the clips to MPEG format and got the output somewhat blurry. Well, you've to be content with that!

Summary
After installing this software, every time I try to open a folder with a video in it, I get "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Even after I uninstalled this POS, I still can't open a folder.
Does what it says and very well too!

This program is the one for me after a long boring time installing and testing all of these other programs. All I wanted is a program that I can start and pick a file, then hit convert. Seperatly it's convertor is free too but these guys have nice support so i prefered having the whole bundle as it is quite cheap too !

Summary
I love Kate's Video Toolkit. I've used it for years, formerly each function as a freeware, and now I happily purchased the whole toolkit. It's hard to describe how phenomenally useful it is, but in brief: Every time you have to convert any file or join or split or add transitions just go to that tab and do it. Fast and reliable.

I had a program that was very similar to this a few years ago. I thought it was the best thing since pizza, but i never used it. I downloaded this one to check it out, It is definatly a keeper !!!
