Editors’ Review
As a small photo viewer and editor, JPEGView Portable allows the user to use basic editing operations on their photos quickly, easily, and on-the-go. This freeware program lets you edit and view your photos from any removable device.
JPEGView Portable comes with its own installer, and you can run the program by clicking on the EXE file found in the program's file folder. Removing the program is just as easy. You just need to delete the program's file folder. The main menu offers some basic options such as zooming, rotating, full-screen mode, converging line correction, and landscape enhancement. Right-clicking on an image opens an extensive menu that allows you to manipulate your photo. Here you'll have options such as batch rename and copy, copy to clipboard, paste from clipboard, auto correction, transform image, etc. There is also an option to play a folder as slideshow/movie. Left-clicking on the photo and pulling the cursor gives you the ability to choose a portion of the photo and crop it to the selected area. This program doesn't offer much guidance except for the readme file, but since the interface is rather intuitive, there's no real need for more in-depth instructions.
JPEGView Portable offers a great little tool for advanced users who are not afraid to play around with it to understand its features. If you can handle doing a little hands-on exploring of this program, you will find many basic photo editing features that can be accessed quickly for processing and displaying your photos.
