Used JB File Shredder for Windows?
Editors’ Review
This free tool's only job is to shred files and folders, but it failed miserably when we put it to the test.
JB File Shredder's so-called user interface doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You first get a small window with a black box and a large button for opening the drag-and-drop feature. As far as the black box, its purpose isn't apparent. So, we moved on to the button. Clicking it opened another small window with a file shred graphic. We clicked on a file, and dragged and dropped it into the window. Nothing happened. The file didnt appear in the mysterious black box, either. There's a Help link, but it doesn't offer any help at all. It only shows publisher information. Some testers never got to the point of finding out whether the program worked or not, as it consistently encountered an error when launched and immediately shut down.
We have to wonder if the publisher actually tested this thing before putting it out there. Save yourself the trouble and look for a functional privacy tool. Thankfully, it uninstalled from our PC without leaving a trace.
