Build Graphical User Interface (GUI) and have its code written for you.

This program is a WYSIWYG GUI builder and code generator tool for Java development, written in Visual Basic. This program lets you place AWT components (buttons, and so on) on a panel, drag and drop components from a toolbar (such as the Visual Basic IDE style) and then generate the source code for JDK 1.1. You can add, move, and resize components on that panel.

The purpose of this program is to facilitate the creation of GUI interfaces in Java. Instead of first writing the code of a GUI interface and then viewing it, a programmer can draw the interface first, and then this program writes the code. This program will create a custom layout for your interface so the AWT components will be placed exactly where you draw them.

It defiantly is a great program, and saves you a bunch of time on programming GUI. I would recommend it to anyone who isn't looking for a perfect GUI, but wants something. I say that because it is limited to what it offers, but it is faster, and works great. And hey, its only version 1.3, it doesn't get much better this early in a programs life.

As listed above, it is limited and simple, but this isn't a big con if your making a simple program. I wouldn't be making anything super professional in it, but ya know what im saying. Download it because it is great.

This is definitely good for beginners, but pants otherwise.. esp if you want to make nice looking gui's for the real world. Beginners might be led into thinking this is all Java offers in the way of GUI: use something another builder is my recommendation e.g. sun one studio 4 community edition

This is a very good, time-saving GUI constructor. Drag-and-drop simplicity, and it even writes code that works! Aimed for the average programmer (not for those who don't know Java, since they will not know what to do with the code anyhow). Lacks a few things, but hey, no one's perfect. Saves tons of time, and the price is right. Definitely recommend it.
