iTunes Library Manager makes backup copies of your iTunes Music Library database file and iTunes Preferences, allowing you to easily save multiple iTunes Library and Preferences configurations that can be retrieved and loaded at any time.(I appreciate all feedback, but I cannot effectively respond to comments made here. Please email comments directly to me. Thanks!)

Very little feed back is given when iTLM is processing and I have had the app crash 3 times today. I cannot easily populate new libraries. The original had everything (good thing) and subsequent libraries have nothing.
This script needs to go back into the oven.
Great, no problems here

I download, unstuff, mount. I then try to drag the folder to the desktop as instructed and it sits at zero bytes. Then the finder locks and I have to reboot.
Oh well, Libra works much better and is free.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have just tried this program as well as some of its competitors, and this one seems to work the best, at least for me. While it doesn't let you create a new, empty library directly, you can easily save a copy of your current library and then delete its contents, so that is not a problem. What this program now does that I really wanted was to keep a separate copy of the iTunes prefs for each library. This means, for example, that each library can have its own location and its own import format, as examples. In terms of the upgrade price, I think what some people forget is that there is a certain transaction cost a developer has to pay (such as Kagi fees, etc.) that make any sort of fee of less than $5 (even for an update of a $5 application) rather impractical.
Good app, good update

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have been using Doug's iTunes Library Manager for quite some time. The new feature whereby preferences are saved is brilliant. I happily paid the $5 again.
I don't know if posters here properly understand the concept of shareware. The fact of the matter is that if the developer keeps developing and users keep using, then users keep paying. That's the bargain. Usually the shareware fee compensates the developer for time spent developing and providing support for the software. In this case I think the $5 is well spent considering the tremendous contribution Doug has made to the iTunes community. He's even helped me out on one occasion. If you've visited his site--is there a Mac iTunes user who hasn't? -- then you know what I mean.
Attention registered users - you must pay once more

This is not explained on the site and not here. There is just a little note in the Read Me.

I use it so that I can keep a "Complete Library" which is all 13,000 of my songs, and yet I can still use it to load my "iPod Library" so that I can sync 30 GB (instead of all 75 GB) worth of music to my iPod.
In short, it allows me to sync select songs from my iTunes Library to my iPod without deleting the ones that aren't synced. It's great and very easy to use. Buy it, it's only $5.00
