Nice, Simple, Effective

- Getting started took a minimal amount of time, and the ease of use is fantastic. For a guy who isn't the most tech savvy this worked much better that windows update, and there are more applications covered.
- Cons
- The "Forget IT" option isn't functional yet. I would like to see this in action, it sounds like it could save a few headaches.

- Fairly intuitive and easy to use. For the few computers I have networked together this is the best "free" product I have used.
Great tool for home or office

- Love how it finds missing updates from lots of different companies and links to all the details. Got all the systems in my office updated quickly from my own computer. It was quick, too. It was a quick download/install, too,

- It told me I needed to install prior to my second scan, even though it was already installed (it did not actually go through the install again). Some apps showed up twice in the software inventory. But it is new and I expect these will get fixed.

- Incredible free tool for up to 10 machines. Can easily handle a home or small office like mine.

Great for home use too

- I've used other products available for home patching of non-Microsoft products, but they didn't automate the installation - very tedious and time-consuming. This product gets that done with minimal effort.Seeing software showed how much extra we had.

- Hope they can keep updating patches for new products that aren't currently supported.

- Easy to find AND install missing patches. Find all your software on your machine - you'll be really surprised how much you or your kids have put on your system.
Good start for cloud based IT automation

- Pushing your patch and asset scan results into the "cloud" allows a user to view the results from anywhere you can view a webpage. Desktop, mobile phone, ipad... if it has internet access, you can view the scan results.
- Cons
- No way to automate scans or deployments yet. It is supposidly coming soon, but this really needs to get there to fully automate an IT professional's work. If this was implemented, this product would recieve a 5.
- Summary
- SMB's should really take a look at this product. It may be interesting for larger companies to check this out too, especially if multiple personel have to coordinate patching machines. Still needs to get some kind of scheduler up and going, but this seems like it will be a very worthwile product.

Get real results in 60 seconds or less

- Found 100's of missing patches on machines that Windows Update said were patched, and fixed them -- for free! Finds all my ESXi VMs without logging in to VI client. Found machines I forgot about on my network.

- It's brand new.. looking forward to the next set of features, like scheduling which is promised.

- The bottom line is, I registered, ran a Find IT scan, found machines, assets, and missing patches in my network within a minute without any download, install, feedback form or other trialware hurdles. Once I saw machines in my grids that needed to be "fixed", I checked them and in one click they were remotely patched up to date. I like the direct and simple approach. I didn't have to setup a policy or install agents. You just click on the big easy button. This is years ahead of the competition. I got results with a true zero footprint and no cost solution. I found questionable software installed on machines that our existing security solutions failed to inventory or block. I also found security patches missing on machines that WSUS failed to find. This is no cost, no local server or database to buy or justify on your budget. No reason not to sign up and join the growing community on IT.Shavliik.com!
Way IT mgmt tools should be... fast, easy, cloud-based
gullrockypoint- Pros
- Easy-to-use without training and very fast to get running and returning useful results. Because it's cloud-based... don't need servers to run it, always has fresh patch data, can access it from anywhere and network traffic is minimal -- very cool!
- Cons
- Product nails my patch and asset management needs, but I would like to get rid of some of my other tools and use this product to do more daily IT ops stuff. Would like to see better use of UI real-estate.
