  I have been using ischeduleD for serveral years since its 2.0 version. I used ischeduleD to combine multiple wash sale from two different brokers (TDAmeritrade & Scottrade) and it worked great. I have used Taxcut in the past, am now using H&R Block Deluxe this year. I looked on their website and but only found info about how to import txf files to turbotax and taxcut. I emailed the customer service. They were very courteous and answered my question promptly within a day. Besides the out-of-date documents, I'm very happy with iScheduleD. It has consistent quality over the years and the price remains the same.

  Cheap is probably on the only thing good about the product.

  Cons

  Import brokerage realized gain loss CSV file incorrectly with invalid values, assigning incorrect transaction type, and generating incorrect Schedule D Form 8949. Also can't process import CSV file with 1000 transactions.

  Summary

  Looks like they're going to be causing a lot of people audit issues for tax year 2011.

  Summary

  I needed a program to combine assigned option proceeds with proceeds from the sale of the assigned shares. IRS rules say to add the proceeds from the covered call into the assigned share proceeds. I write in the money covered calls, which if assigned results in a gain, not a loss. But this program treats them as a loss and kicks in all the wash sale calcultion. I was hoping to save prep time this year, but now I'm hand editing the input file so this program can provide a correct output.

• Useful wash sale tax tool & excellent customer service

  Pros

  Unlike any other wash sale tools I ever used, iScheduleD does schedule D wash sale calculation in a very simple and efficient way. It is also very convenient to import trades from many brokers. Best of all, it has a very inexpensive price $30.

  Cons

  This is the first year I used iSchelduleD. It is a bit painful to establish correct cost basis at the beginning due to prior years' wash sales. Once I had the cost basis established, it went smoothly from importing trades to calculating wash sales.

  Summary

  I have trades from several different brokers. It has always been a headache to reconcile trades from these brokers and do wash sale calculations. I do not trust the wash sales calculated by any single broker as their calculation does not take into consideration my trades at other brokers. More importantly, I had enough of paying for GainsKeeper every year. So I decided to look for some good wash sales tools. I found iScheduleD and it does the job very well. Considering that I had several thousand trades from three brokers last year, it is not an easy thing to calculate wash sales and report accurate results. Customer service is of great help and normally responded to my questions within a few hours. I would recommend any one with several broker accounts to try this tool to calculate wash sales. it works very well for FIFO matching rules. I gave this tool a four-star rating because this is the first year I used it. I look forward to reviewing it next year. If it worked fine, I will give it a five-star next year.

• TXF and ScheduleD Made Easy!

  Easy to use interface with multibroker support. Outstanding customer service. The ability to set up different portfolio profiles. Being a .jar executable it has virtually no obtrusive footprint. The capability to base the import on custom CSVs.

  Cons

  No cons really. I wish I found this program earlier.

  Summary

  I do a lot of stock and option trades with multiple brokers. This program enabled me to bring all these transactions together into one consolidated area where I could export to excel or txf. It's incredibly easy to use. It has no learning curve. It ended up up saving me a lot of time, which in term is money! The customer service is great. I sent an email to support and a got a prompt reply in about in hour or two.

• Simple, Fast and Does The Job at a Good Price

  Pros

  Importing CSV files from your broker is simple and straight forward. Easier than I thought. Once this is done this application easily calculates a schedule D for any year you choose. I imported data all the way back to 2004.

  Cons

  This is not your normal Windows application. It runs by itself from a folder. Its a small JAVA application..but...it does exactly what you need it to do so this really is not a con. Get the unlimited version especially if your stocks pay dividends.

  Summary

  Now I am not a huge trader so I did not want to pay a lot of money for an application to calculate my cost basis for taxes. I kept thinking that the mathmatics involved was not real hard so there must be something out there I could use for under $30 to figure the sells I had for taxes. I kept looking and there is software out there but the good ones cost well over $100 or I had to subscribe and pay $69 to figure the few trades I had. Next year I would have to pay another $69. Then I found this little application and it was exactly what I was looking for. Does the job. Now I downloaded trades all the way back to 2004. Some of my ETF's pay dividends and those are rolled back in to buy more of the security. This can mean hundreds if not thousands of trades so get the unlimited version. I imported each year separately as CSV files all the way back to 2004. This app took everything and saves it all together so you have it in there. You just keep adding to it as the years go buy.

  Summary

  Very happy with simple design, but enough features. Had to purchase TXF Creator, then later exchange with iScheduleD Portfolio Manager 2.0.5. The whole transaction was done via a few emails in a matter of few minutes and it was midnight Sunday. Very impressive/courteous customer support. Would have been 5 stars if Lightspeed were supported.

  If I would to pick a single category to point out how and why this product excel any other competition, its their great service and prompt responses, I got answers to questions in my email within minutes, even if I am sending it late. plus the product is great it matches my brokers consolidation to the penny. I used it to generate a consolidated txf file, since turbo tax would choke on bigger files. great product and service

  I wish the software came with help buttons that explain what each step is and guide me through the process.

  Summary

  I used another product of the same publisher last year to import my ET trades into turbotax. I had some wash sales in 2008 and asked them about wash sale support. At that point they didn't. Earlier year I got an email from them informing me that they have released the wash sale software. I immediately tried out. It worked almost perfect, except that there were a few trades that were left out. I contacted the customer support on a Saturday afternoon and got response in a hour. They took my data and found that the trades were left out because of some data format irregularity. They fixed the problem for me in matters of hours. Very responsive!
