I/O ActiveX Control allows easy reading and writing to and from parallel and serial ports. The control features a comprehensible interface, a consistent core interface between parallel and serial ports, parallel and serial status functions in Windows 98/NT4.0/Win2000/WinXP, the ability to fire status events when a change in status is detected, and a background I/O operation mode to allow slow operations to be done in an asynchronous manner. The newest version features an enhanced interface. Version 2.09 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.
