• Great on screen; does not print out in a useable form

  The on screen user interface is great. It creates a good flowchart that helps in code understanding and debugging

  Cons

  Can not print out the flow chart. It allows you to export to Microsoft applications or Visio. However, the displays are not useable.

  Summary

  I see that someone had this same review 3 years ago. They still not have fixed this problem and they still do not return requests for support.

  Very good application for use 'on screen'.

  Useless if you want to print.

  Can be exported to various Office applications, but it will only appear as a single page. Exporting to Excel seemed to be a possible way to print more than one page but doing so loses one or more lines from the text boxes. Quite useless. The site FAQ indicates that this will be fixed in the next release - whenever that will be. An email to Support at Fatesoft, asking if it will be version 6.1 or 7.0, has gone unanswered - so overall very disappointing. Until they have sorted out the printing issues, I would advise against buying this software.

  Pros

  Several functions, a programmer needs, integrated in one GUI interface. The icons look nice and the charts are well readable.

  A view item is missing in the menu, so you can't exclude frames.

  Pros

  I thought that something like this would be a good idea about 14 years ago while I was studying computer science in college. I became aware of the practicality as well as the tedium of flowcharting (by hand) in a "Computer Logic" course that I was taking. I don't personally like pseudo code. Flowcharting sofware has been around for a long time. However, there has been no flowcharting software that could relate standard flowcharting symbols directly to code in this way (as far as I know). Code Visual to Flowchart makes it much easier to visualize larger projects. It's also a great aid for anyone wanting to understand/learn programming languages in a more visual and concrete way

It allows you to select all of your code, or just a portion of it, and allows you to jump from any object in the flowchart back to its corresponding source code. This application should aid any software developer in locating logical errors or extra code. It is worth the download
