Generate Solid Bodies in the STEP format from mesh formats such as STL, OBJ, X3D, VRML.
File Conversion utility to generate Solid Bodies in the STEP format from mesh formats such as STL, OBJ, X3D, VRML as well as export to any of those formats. Also supports GDML Import/Export for scientific use. New CWF format allows more compact data storage compared to STL and OBJ files and maintains color and units. Loading of XYZ point data from MACH3 digitizing routine directly into a surface mesh with tools to generate solid bodies with varying tolerance. Add on module allows import and export of Finite Element models (Nastran, Ensight, Patran, Gmsh, CFE) as well as extraction of surfaces for use in CAD applications and conversion of CAD meshes to Finite Element meshes, including inflation of surface mesh to solid mesh. Free version is limited to Importing/Exporting meshed CAD formats containing up to 3000 facets consisting of a single body. Basic licensing removes this restriction. Design licensing adds useful tools for working with mesh files including limited correction capability. FE license adds FE type mesh formats.
