Talk to all your friends with a single application.
Instantbird is a customizable instant messaging client with support for AOL, Yahoo, MSN, Google Talk, Twitter, Facebook, XMPP, IRC and ICQ. It's powered by Mozilla so it has support for customization using themes and extensions built-in.
Instantbird is made by the same people who make Pidgin. And is a clone of Pidgin but much more simple and easy to use. And will suit those who find Pidgin difficult to understand.
Cons
Does not support voice or video chat but apart from that none at all.
Summary
Instantbird made by the same people who make Pidgin. But it is much easier to use than Pidgin. I started off using Instantbird and then I installed Pidgin as well. So now I have both Pidgin and Instantbird on my computer. Instantbird does everything that Pidgin does,it supports all email accounts and also supports IRC chat just like Pidgin does. So Instantbird is ideal for IRC and also as I said it is much more simple and easy to use than Pidgin. And so will suit those like me who cannot figure out how to use complicated chat messengers. So if you are new to computers start with Instantbird as I did and you can use it also for IRC. And then you can move onto Pidgin when you get the hang of it. And Instantbird can also be used alongside Pidgin on the same computer.Andrea Borman.

Updated on Sep 3, 2011
I started off using Instantbird then when I got the hang of using chat messengers,I installed Pidgin as well. But Instantbird although it is more simple and has basic features and not many plug ins like Pidgin does. Instantbird is not just for beginners,it is in some ways faster than Pidgin and takes up less ram than Pidgin. So advanced computer user will like this simple easy to use messenger that has the added bonus of being able to connect to IRC channels and chat. Without having to install an IRC chat client. Instantbird is great for IRC. I fully recommend Instantbird this program. For all versions of Windows.Andrea Borman.
