Send SMS (text, pictures, ringtones) to a mobile phone.
SMS-it! allows you to send a short message (SMS Short Message Service) to a mobile phone using your computer. SMS-it supports Picture messages, Caller Group Graphic, Operator Logo, Ringtones and Flash SMS. The messages can be sent through an attached modem, through an internet connection or directly through an attached mobile phone. Supports sending free SMS through the infobiiip.com gateway. If a mobile phone is attached to the computer (IE through the IR port), the contents of the inbox can be downloaded and stored in folders. The phonebook can also be downloaded and synchronized with SMS-it!. SMS-it can integrate with MS Outlook in order to send SMS from the control bar or to send an SMS whenever a Reminder comes up. Like this it is possible to predefine SMS Messages, that are sent in reaction to specific events. One use can be, to predefine birthday messages and allocate them to the individual birthdays. As soon as the Outlook reminder comes up, an SMS is automatically send with the birthday message. The SMS is send before the reminder and does not need any confirmation, hence it will also work on unattended systems.
you can do the same faster cheaper just by using your phone

Great tool

Pros
Does what it is supposed to: sending SMS :-)
I used the direct link with my SonyEricsson m600i and it worked for me without hassle. Registration with Clickatell (for the internet SMS sending) was a little complicated, but now works as well.
Cons
Summary
No no no that is not right at all! ONLY 1 STAR BECAUSE ZERO IS NOT POSSIBLE!

Pros
The concept is sound, actuality is poor!
Cons
CLAIMS: to be free but is not, it was unavailable WHENEVER I tried using the 'free' Infobiiip SMS centre as well as causing serious crashes and NEVER ONCE SENT ANY SMS'.

The OTHER way is through Clickatell themselves; registration IS REQUIRED on the Clickatell web site, but is impossible to complete as they send you SMS confirmation & EMail too, SMS works and is delivered (to MY mobile) BUT EMail DOES NOT, it NEVER arrived, therefore it is impossible to register and since this ONLY works with Clickatell OR Infoiiip this renders the software pretty null and void. Clickatell promised 10 free SMS' but without registration NOTHING was possible.

I think this is BAD software, the claims are VERY misleading and it took 3 attempts to get it installed on my XP system. I quite honestly wished I had not bothered, they may fix the NO EMAIL situation but touting this as FREE software is unacceptable at best.

The skins did work and it looks 'nice' but at (maybe) the expense of a WORKING PROGRAM!

ADVICE: Do NOT bother to download until they come clean and admit this is NOT FREE nor FUNCTIONING.

I hope this helps others.

Pros
Easy, simple to use, does what it should.

The plugin works great inside my Outlook and reminds me by SMS of appointments while I am not at my PC.

Price wise it is still far cheaper per SMS than when sending through my provider using the handset... and definitely more convenient.
Cons
It took me a while to understand the different sending methods and how to set up the internet account with clickatell.

Thanks for trying. But I will not pay for a program and pay for the service, paying for one is enough. Looks are no good. Clickatell is expensive to send SMS, the pricing is complicated, and setting up the account is complex. But the most important is, not all the SMS arrive and the people that I SMS still has to pay international fees to answer my SMS. Not like in ZYB… where they pay local fees.
