Impact Fax Server adds a significant component to the PC based unified messaging systems by integrating fax and email into a single unified platform. The Impact Fax Server allows users to send and receive faxes through a local or wide area network. Additionally, the Impact Fax Server allows users to send and receive faxes from anywhere in the world by using either the Impact Fax Server remote web interface or Email to Fax functionality.

By using the Impact Fax Server Outlook client, the Impact Fax Server enables you to efficiently manage all of your desktop messages. This means that you use just one easy, familiar tool to handle (store, forward, move, delete) all your messages, including fax and email messages. Not using Outlook? Not a problem, you can also send and receive faxes using any email client, web browser or the Impact Fax Server Stand Alone Client.

A defective product from a non-responsive company.

Pros
This fax server software has an interface to work with Outlook which would be good if the software would not crash and lock-up causing you to miss all incoming faxes.
Cons
I made the mistake of buying this terrible software before testing it well enough. It turned out that most of the field info you enter whey you want to send a fax, never comes through to the party recieving the fax. (subject, company name, persons name, etc) After I pointed this out to them they came up with a so-called "fix", which actually did correct some of the field problems, but now the software crashes and shuts down every few hours. I tried it on 2 different XP machines with 3 different modems. They seem to have no intention to get this product working properly, so I guess I have been scammed. Do not waste your time and money with this company!!!

Pros
I upgraded my office network to XP SP2 and Winfax stopped working. The Fax Server from black ice works like a charm, now everyone is faxing from their desktops using the outlook client. My sales force can send and receive faxes on the road using their laptops. This thing is so much better than WinFax and much easier to configure.
