Used iLook for Windows?
Editors’ Review
News junkies can stay on top of the news through the Web or Net radio with this newsreader. iLook has a unobtrusive, vertical window that lists options depending on the function you choose: newsreader headlines, Net radio stations, or search engines.
Selecting newsfeed sources from a preloaded list was easy to do in our tests, and we were able to specify the time interval for updates. Clicking a headline quickly opened the story at its source site with our default browser. However, although adding RSS feeds from unlisted sources was simple to perform, the feed headlines from at least one source never appeared. (While the source site may have been the cause, iLook didn't alert us to any problems in retrieving the news.)
Available Net radio stations include a variety of international sources, so nearly every taste for news or music should be satisfied. Likewise, the list of search engines includes German as well as the most popular English sites, although the program offers no way of adding other engines. iLook is free and easy to use, so any level of user will find it a handy little addition to their bag of Internet tools.
