With Icosystem you can apply a color to an item icon as you select a color label for it. As you know, the Mac OS X Finder doesnt color the icon, but only its name. Now, folders, files and apps can be easily and beautifully tagged with colors. You just have to use the Finder Get Info command or the Finder contextual menu on an item. Just as usual. You can choose to see animations and sounds when applying a color label to an item. Your desktop couldnt be more alive. Version 1.8 adds French localization, adds an option that allows to colorize the item icon only, not the item name.
I'm upgrading from an old version I love. The new version sounds terrific and only $8!! OS X is great, but notice how many good little apps. are popping up, resurrecting the things in OS 9 we miss the most. Icosystem brightly and very easily colors any folder or file icon: just for fun, or to help create a filing/labeling system -- without those horrid huge color bars in list view. Even the old versions were well done and I expect the same quality in v.1.8. OS X works wonders, but on its own, looks boring. Icosystem helps cure that; helps make your desktop your own. (I hardly ever give 5 stars; perfection is rare.)
