I often need to run search and replace operations on stored data for both renaming and editing file content. I find it simpler to use different applications for the particular operations I need to perform and that's why I developed this set of Find & Replace applications. Using them is simple. Just drag files and/or folders to the application's icon to perform the indicated action. You may drag items to the target field if the application is already running. IMPORTANT: These applications are powerful enough to greatly damage your computer files. Please use them carefully.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
My file utilities folder contains at least 8 renaming apps that I have downloaded at one time or another. When I need to rename a bunch of files or folders (which isn't often), I rummage through the apps one by one, trying them out. I usually forget which one worked last time, and when I'm done, I forget to toss out the ones I didn't like.
Not any more. Today I tried Simple Find & Replace - Mac OS X, and I trashed the rest of the renaming apps. When I launched it, I was greeted by a simple window with simple instructions. Within seconds, the job was done. It's extremely intuitive, extremely easy to use, and extremely fast. It's also free.
Even if you've already paid money for another renaming app, you owe it to yourself to give Simple Find & Replace - Mac OS X a try. The time you save will be worth it.
Wow! What a Lifesaver!
