Turn your scanner and printer to a photocopier.

iCopy is a free and open source software that lets you combine your scanner and printer into a powerful, but easy to use photocopier by only pressing a button. Its simple user interface let you manage scanner and printer options, like brightness, contrast, number of copies in a couple of seconds.

You can launch iCopy by pressing the scanner button, and use it to Scan to PDF using one of the many PDF printers available for free. Now, you can use your scanner ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) to dozens of pages with a single click.

Really simple to use Can create multipage PDFs using my Canon multi-function printer
Cons
Watch out for the Cnet installer which will try and install advertising malware and browser tracking software on your computer. You can opt out, but be careful. Or download iCopy directly from Sourceforge.

None that I can see right away.
Summary
I can't seem to get the Epson software that I used for my scanner in XP to work. The only real loss was copy functionality and this works great. Combine this with PDF reDirect and you have a PDF scanner as well.
Nothing that I have already installed can't do.

Easy to use interface and fairly straight forward to run and use.
Cons
Like I said, nothing new in the way of copy technologies that are availible in open source programming.
Summary
I'm fairly neutral about this product as I have more complete copy programs already installed. No "bells and whistles" abilities that would make me use or recommend this product. I will most likely uninstall it from my computor as I don't really need it. Would probally be alright for someone with no other program of this nature installed.

Summary
Switched to Vista & HP did NOT release an updated driver to use copy function on my HP 3970 scanner. HP recommends I purchase a new scanner. Went to my savior location, cnet, and as usual found what I need. This utility is great and am back to making copies again without going through making a PDF or making a graphics file first. Thanks!
Would not recognize either of two connected scanners

Program would recognize either of my two scanners, and would not open. No means to adjust settings or options.
Summary
Installation completed apparently successfully. However, when I clicked on the program icon, I got an error message that stated that no scanner was found, and the only option I had was to click OK to close the program. I have a TWAIN/USB Flatbed scanner and a USB All-in-One.

Keep telling me I have to turn off my scanner even when it is not plugged in. My scanner, fax and printer are all in one. It also had a lot of spyware attached to the download so I deleted it.
