• Awesome Features with reliability issues

  Pros

  HTS sets itself apart with a simple graphic mechanism to organize your site into a hierarchy. For example the page about a product might have two logical branches. One branch might describe the product's uses and the other branch addresses the products "features". Each of those logical branches in turn might have further branches. This ability to display the logical structure of your site graphically, even though the actual page files are in a single easy to upload directory, makes HTS invaluable for managing larger (25 page and up) sites. AFAIK *no* other tool offers his feature.

  Cons

  Unfortunately HTS locks up periodically and it can take a bit of effort -- such as rebooting and trimming the project -- to regain access to your work. While not unusual for complex software tools, HTS is quirky. It can get very insistent about.terminating a tag so there's a lot of cleanup if you're jumping around in a project and doing a lot of cut-and-paste.. At least here in the USA, plan on a delay if you have a hardware failure and need to reinstall. It can take a few days to gain authorizations. Plan on repurchasing the product if there is a major revision. Upgrade are free or offered at a discount within major revisions. In the end we had to abandon 3 HTS licenses because of reliability and administrative issues.
