If you've ever used an HP financial calculator, you'll feel right at home when you open this application, whose interface, functionality, and features replicate the original physical product. You'll get hit with the upsell for the full version upon launching the program, but just click the window and the free version will open. Key in your computations, hit Enter, and a memory text file shows the last numbers registered.

The interface gives you the ability to adjust the size of the calculator from small to medium to large. Features such as copy and paste, load and save, and paper tape output are disabled in the freeware, but all other key functions are present. TERRIBLE!!! CANNOT UNINSTALL!!!

If you can look beyond the CONSTANT (every 60 seconds) purchase prompts, it does technically function as an HP12C should.
Cons
"Free Trial" ASSAULTS you with purchase reminders at a blinding rate. HIDES THE TASKBAR! Seriously?! Not cool. CANNOT UNINSTALL!!! Does not show up in add/remove. No uninstall.exe. No Uninstall option in program directory. Cannot uninstall through the installation utility. Total crap in my opinion. I actually thought it was useful for the first 30 seconds, and may have considered purchasing, but I am totally blown away by the inconvenience of this download from hell.

You need to pay for (reminds you every minute of the fact that you have to pay. When I installed another freeware financial calculator, I could not get rid of this HP calculator.

THEY SHOULD HAVE ADDED AN UNINSTALL POSSIBILITY!!! Finally I had to manually uninstall, and now my windows sidebar does not work at all anymore.

1) There's no UNINSTALL in add/remove or in the program. That alone ticks me off. <p> <p>2) Locks up and hides the tool bar, task bar etc. <p> <p>3) constantly repeats your every action threw speakers. <p> <p>4) shuts down ever few mins. & asks for money to buy the full version

I have been searching for a PC based program for a financial calculator for years. The HP-12C has been the choice of financial professionals for years. This program re-creates the HP-12C perfectly, in fact you forget you're using your pc and not the actual calculator. Great Job.
