Not while playing a live tournament or live cash game.

Excellent calculation of odds and other factors needed to make an intelligent decision.
Cons
Not allowed while playiing live tournaments. Most casinos would not allow use of a device that gives one player an advantage over others at the table. Other players at the table will call the floor to have this device barred.
