Get a chess timer with pause feature and sound warnings.
This chess timer is the software equivalent to an ordinary timer. An ordinary chess timer is expensive and inaccurate. Hoff-Z Chess Timer on the other hand is free and accurate down to the 10th of a second (ideal for blitz chess). Hoff-Z Chess Timer can also pause the timer and give you sound warnings 1, 2 and/or 3 minutes before time is up. Install this program on your laptop and you will have a portable high tech timer next to your chess bord.
