Capture analog audio from line-in or microphone to Ogg Vorbis/Wave/MP3 format.

Records analog audio from line-in or microphone directly to Ogg Vorbis/MP3/Wave/Monkey's Audio in real time with auto-normalization. Featuring smart file numbering, tray icon operation for quick access and preview while recording (aka time shift). Supports stereo or mono recordings at 32, 44.1 or 48kHz in 32-320kbps Ogg Vorbis format or through any installed ACM codec. Drop-in support for the high quality LAME MP3 encoder DLL (download separately). All operations can also be controlled from the command line for easy automation.

Version 2.52 is licensed as Open Source under the GPL.

What a nice program. <p>Sound setup on a computer is such a finicky thing. <p>Very simple to install . <p>If you need the dll simply google the dll download and install into your windows /system folder . <p>Very simple and straightforeward. <p>Some people seem to have claimed the program stopped recording after 10 minutes . <p> I do not know. <p> For simple recording this is as nice and simple as it gets. <p> Most of the audio capture programs seem to have recording time limitations until registered .

Not too much options, friendly user interface, stable and effective. I especially like the "Smart Normalization" feature that chooses the perfect record level for you. Good program !

This is the best audio recorder out there. It has many features that allow you to set the bit rate, length of recording, maximum file size, type of output, etc. It is really a fine program. I use it to record internet radio and it works like a charm. Highly recommended.

It does everything it should and more (f. ex. you are able to record APE too!!) It's handy and easy to use. For many of such programms you'll have to pay, this one is entirely free. :) !
