Clear away the extra promotional icons and HangARoo makes a welcome desktop addition. The Flash version of hangman features a sass-talking kangaroo who, thank goodness, does not attempt an Australian accent. He stands on a scaffold with a noose around his neck, critiquing your letter choices until you either guess the word or phrase--or send him to heaven. You can pick four incorrect letters before you lose the game. To choose letters, you can click the letter buttons or use the keyboard. Some puzzles will pop up little bubbles with trivia about the subject. The audio works nicely, and you can adjust the volume on a slider. The interface shows an eFlash ticker at the bottom, and the program adds extra icons to your desktop and links to your Start menu folder. Uninstalling the game doesn't remove the promotional icons or links, which isn't polite. Still, hangman fans might find a few icons a small price to pay for a free game as fun as HangARoo.

No "Quit" button! I hate the kangaroo when it makes me feel stupid by saying belittling things when I press the wrong letter.
Summary
It keeps you thinking (guessing would be more appropriate) and keeps you "hung" for hours on end. Good questions, but it breaks my heart when the noose tightens on the poor old kangaroo. Overall rating: Good.

the setup reminds me of wheel of fortune, and it is educational. The hangaroo is hilarious!

If you don't complete the 10 levels you have to start from the beginning.

I remember playing HangARoo ages ago and this game still keeps me busy when I have nothing to do!! And considering the fact that these days there's so many games out there that you can play to pass your time - that's a pretty amazing feat!! <p>I'm pretty sure people of all ages can enjoy this game and you can even add your own phrases/words to the game for other people to guess and vice versa! <p>All in all, the game is pretty impressive! I love it!!
