If you like news tickers, you'll find this RSS reader hard to beat. During installation, you choose whether to place Guru News Ticker in your IE toolbar or in the taskbar at the bottom of your desktop. From there, you can select what type of headlines you want. You can click a passing headline to open a browser window that shows the story, or you can mouse over the headline for a small and scrollable drop-down window. We encountered a few script errors while running the program but nothing that made it quit or freeze. We liked the instant access to news items, the configurable fonts and colors, the feed options for different types of news, and the ability to add our own RSS feeds. The 20-day demo limitation is a bit short for our tastes but still gives you enough time to check out the program. If you want headlines scrolling past your work space or browser window all day, Guru News Ticker provides flexibility in both story options and appearance.

I have been using this product for about 8 months and I love it. CMP-Soft updates the software very frequently and it gets better every day. The latest version includes support for ATOM feeds and the scrolling is sooooo smooth...

This is a really, REALLY nice program. If you like news tickers, don't look anywhere else. In addition to "standard" feeds it allows you to subscribe to keyword-based Yahoo-/Google News feeds. You can also use it to access your Google GMAIL account. AMAZING ! A+++++++
This is the BEST RSS reader I have found!!

Summary
After looking for an RSS reader that I could customize easily and quickly, I found the perfect one here! Not only are there literally hundreds of feeds to choose from within the program, but I could add more of my own. Colors, fonts, scroll speed, reader location and even what news headlines are most important to me are all changed with the click of a button!! I no longer have to go chasing down the news I want, it is right there scrolling by. Thank you Guru!
